I needed to improve my overall physique when I joined Lene Alexandra, and I ended up with a complete lifestyle change that has improved all aspects of life. I got in shape to participate in a triathlon, I lost 20 kg and got a better definition after changing my nutrition. But my results are not only in the gym. I have a strengthened my self-esteem, and I´m now more open and humble as a person. I´m in the best shape of my life, and I don´t think that would even be possible without Lene Alexandra as my lifestyle coach.
Even after 20 years in the public health services I would never have believed that it was possible to change so much within a year. But with training and guidance by Lene Alexandra, I learned that anything is possible. I´m in better shape than ever, even my doctor is impressed. After many failed attempts to find a solution do my damaging lifestyle, that has provided me with high blood pressure, sugar dependency and depression, I finally met Lene Alexandra. She knew what was needed to change my lifestyle. It is through her knowledge, humbleness, honesty, empathy and warmth that I now can say that I have lost 20 kg, I feel joy inside and I have something to give to others.
Lene, you have thought me that nobody is perfect, and that perfect is not a goal. You Lene, have provided me with the importance of believing in yourself. Thanks to you and your attitude I have achieved so much more than just measurable results! Loss in body fat and increased muscle mass that was my main goal, this is now just a bonus
I´ve had PTLA as my personal trainer since October 2011. It is a tough ride to get mind and body above the comfort zone, but with strong support from PTLA, we´ve managed to strengthen the physical and not least my mental side which provides a positive attitude towards nutrition, lifestyle and rhythm. PTLA is very conscious along the way and follows the routine 100%. By this I feel taken care of, and a bonus is that she through her professionalism makes you push limits you didn´t know existed. I´ve lost a lot of «dead weight», and strengthened the whole body. In my line of work there are physical challenges, but not least mental ones, and PTLA has strengthened them all. This affects choices in life and I feel that I have gained a positive strength by all of this. PTLA is really interested in all aspects of a person and she will be a very skilled coach for anyone that wants to develop themselves!
Lene Alexandra has been my personal trainer since June 2012 and she is fantastic at what she does. In addition she is so much more, and that makes her a special PT. She sees the whole person, is 100% focused and makes me feel I´m special – What more can one want? I am a group instructor, have been working out for years, so I can say I´m in great shape. BUT, when it comes to strength training this has been boring. After Lene started as my PT, I haven´t even been thinking that. To work out with her is to participate in «71 degrees north» – you never know what tasks you are assigned, how long they will last or how tough they are, and that´s great! I have now expanded my limits, made things I never dreamt of doing, had a ton of positive experiences and felt the sensation of mastering. And the best of all is that I am stronger than ever.
I ended up with Lene as my personal trainer because I had lost my motivation and got next to nothing out of my own workouts. Lene made me rethink almost every area within training and nutrition. Lene made me break boundaries and set myself goals that I never though I would make. Today I train focused towards a triathlon. Lene is very good at reading me and get maximum out of every session. It is very motivating to have a personal trainer with such an interest in me when I am about to reach my goals.
I started working out with Lene Alexandra in December and had a great time. Lene took time to understand my goals and created a plan that fit me perfect. I learned a lot, and she helped me so I could do a lot of the workouts from home. Lene is a girl that is passionate about what she does and she really has the client in focus. I sadly had to set my training at hold due to work and moving away, but I have learned so much, that I now can do everything by myself, no matter where in the world I am. If you desire a solid and effective program, you need to turn to Lene.
After years of injury, training without results, bad confidence, social anxiety and the feeling of just walking around in circkes, I was ready for a real lifestyle change. My main focus besides increased strenght and a firm body, was my mental state. This, so I can perform better on the golf course, at work and in life in general. Lene believes in me, sees my potential and now I do as well. That insight and understanding Lene has of life makes her compassionate, humble, engaged and a unafraid person. Killer workouts and mental training has given me a sensation of mastery and glow that one can only dream of. Lene Alexandra is on my team and the sky is the limit!
I came to Lene with an imagined great physique. Through coaching and workouts I have changed from a gym bum to a thriatlete. I experienced the art of mastery that in turn improved my self-esteem. Now I feel more open and self-confident both at work out and in everyday life. I´ve really become a better version of myself!
Early April 2013 I noticed a picture from Lene Alexandra on Instagram that advertised for something called GET FIT BEFORE SUMMER. She and Roger Holmedal, personal trainer at Optimal Trening, was about to help a group of people get in shape! I instantly accessed her blog to read more about it. And it looked interesting! We exchanged a few emails and I decided that I had to attend this course. It was just 10 spots, so I needed to respond fast. My background is that I have been a member of the local gym for 14 years, and I have worked out between 4-6 times a week. After I experienced a drop in metabolism a few years back, I haven´t been happy with myself and my body. I can´t say I was obese, but I felt that my metabolism wash´t the same as it once was. Even though I have been conscious of my diet, I felt that my progression had stopped and that my motivation lacks from this. Therefore, with a course like this, with guidance on both training and nutrition, I felt this was right up my ally. We meet every three weeks, for individual follow-up, sharing of experiences, and to see if we had met our goals. Lene Alexandra has truly been a motivator for me. Just by following her on Instagram, she´s given me so much inspiration and motivation to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle. You don´t find a more knowledgable, sensible, wise women anywhere! I am so happy I got one of the the spots on the course, because I have never felt better! I´ve become stronger, increased my endurance, and have a lower fat percent – Just what I wanted! I have regained balance and I am so grateful for that.
I was so lucky to be accepted to Lene Alexandra and Roger Holmedals GET FIT BEFORE SUMMER course, and this experience has given me a lot of energy and the motivation to continue to stay focused on training and nutrition. I have worked out over the years, but I have never felt I gained so much by it. The motivation does not improve with such «results». Lene Alexandra and Roger provided me with a good introduction, and I learned that everything needs to be connected to achieve results. It was an «eureka» moment for me on many aspects. We received programs and was monitored along the way and when we met. The energy in the group at this course was very good, and I reached my goal and then some. This has given me a drive in regards of my training and being more conscious of my nutrition. Not the least my goals, and how I can reach them and get out of my «comfort zone». It has actually become a part of my life now and it´s fun! Lene is an inspiring and motivating person that is not afraid to speak her mind. She is good at guiding, pushing and caring.
In 2013 I accidentally noticed that Lene Alexandra arranged a GET FIR BEFORE SUMMER course with Roger Holmedal. I though «wow, this is something that I would like to join!». With a friend that I knew needed a new start, we signed up. As a former swimmer and member of the local health club since 1996, I have always worked out and now I felt that I needed new inspiration. The weeks at the course was fantastic, we got guidance, we were measured and taken care of by two fantastic persons. I felt that Lene Alexandra was hard, wise and determined, while she at the same time cared and had compassion for all the attendees. The course gave me a lot, both when it comes to what´s important to me and what´s good enough for me. In addition I lost a few pounds and I got a more firm body. I learned a lot about nutrition and understood more and more what our body wants and not, and that at the end of the day it´s all about balance. The course did also teach me that I should not think the worse of myself although I should have eaten badly or haven´t trained as much as I wanted. Then it´s just to do something about it. Lene Alexandra thought me a «magical» sentence that I often use in everyday life; «do the things you do based on the goals you have set for yourself!». As a big bonus I got to know a lot a people that I still have contact with today. The course gave me so much that I have set a fairly hairy target for the summer of 2014, and that is to finish the Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Haugesund!
It is now soon 3 weeks since I came back from Mallorca. A vacation and experience that I will never forget. During the week in Mallorca, I made note of every word said – from both you and the other girls on the trip. I have learned so much more during that week than I have over the last 10 years. Your focus on «I can do anything if I want to» and «that I am able to do so much more» – «don´t waste your time» and «take a chance» are life important lessons. Your story is touching. I feel I have a good life. But when I now turn 31, good is not good enough. I deserve to feel fantastic! If I´m so lucky that I´m alive when I´m 80, I will spend the next 50 years to achieve just this. The last two weeks has made me think a lot, and I have found inspiration and motivation in places I have never searched, and not least from people I haven´t connected with before. Without thinking about it, I left Mallorca with a boost in my self-esteem and the belief that I CAN. I CAN do whatever I want! I need to work hard for achieve it, it doesn´t just happen, and I´m now ready to go to work! I have found that special feeling. Thanks for everything you´ve given me Lene, you give more than you are aware of!
Da jeg begynte å trene med Lene var jeg på et sted i livet hvor jobb og stress opptok mye av tankeprosessene mine. PT-øktene vi hadde sammen ga meg utrolig mye kunnskap om trening, anatomi, kosthold og målsetninger. I tillegg ble disse avtalene viktigere og viktigere fordi øktene krevde min fulle konsentrasjon, spesielt de timene som inneholdt program med tung styrketrening. På den måten ble jeg «tvunget» til å være tilstede der og da, noe som også har hjulpet meg i etterkant. I starten var de viktigste målsetningene mine å øke muskelmassen og redusere fettprosenten. Jeg oppnådde utrolig gode resultater jeg var veldig fornøyd med, men Lene lærte meg at det først og fremst handler om å ha en sunn og frisk kropp. Og ikke minst å kunne være fornøyd med den man er både innvendig og utenpå. Det forandret ikke bare holdningen min til trening isolert sett, men ga meg også et nytt perspektiv på mange andre ting. I Lene fant jeg også en glimrende, «likesinnet» sparringspartner og god venn som jeg er glad for å ha i livet mitt.
Thanks for a fantastic journey Lene. After being off training and enjoying life to much, my condition was not as I had hoped for. I met Lene through common acquaintances, that told me what she had achieved for her clients, and I became curious to what she could do for me. The first thing I noticed about Lene was that she was focused and wanted motivated clients. That was a good fit for me and I had a main goal of loosing 20 kg. With that goal, Lene created a training program and suggestions for changes to my diet. The combination of a changed diet and working out payed off really soon. I have experienced Lene as focused and that has helped me prioritize working out and doing this lifestyle change. The workouts have been fun and a lot of that has to do with Lene adding variation to the workouts and giving good guidance along the way. I´ve learned to push myself more, and the words from Lene; «you can do two more…» has inspired me when I work out by myself as well. My experience is that you are able to push more with a PT (Lene), and this gives faster results… It has been easy to ask Lene for guidance and she is good at following up along the way. This includes bragging and shouting when deserved, and clarity when she expects more. After six months I have lost more than 20 kg. I feel revived, stronger and not least, I feel the urge to continue. Again, thanks Lene for a fantastic journey, you have had my back all the way.
